Dr. John Carl Poggiolo is a graduate of Illinois College of Optometry. He gained his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Detroit. Upon returning to Michigan, he joined Vision Associates, P.C. in 1975. Vision Associates was founded in 1947 by Dr. Oscar C. Ross. Dr. John Carl Poggiolo has been practicing in the Detroit area for over thirty five years, and our practice has been established for over 65 years.
At Vision Associates, P.C., he serves the vision care needs of the local community in a family-friendly way. He has been actively involved in the Warren community and surrounding areas. He is also served as a member of the Warren Lions Club and other organizations. He thinks of our staff as a family of people working together to help the eye care needs of our patients.
Dr. John Carl Poggiolo has a special interest in preventative eye care and contact lenses specializing in complicated rigid gas permeable lens designs for Orthokeratology (corneal shaping), astigmatism, and bifocal RGP lenses. He has served as a consultant on a number of contact lens companies and has helped design and improve many of the contact lenses in use today.
Dr. John Carl Poggiolo is a a board certified optometrist. He is a member of the Michigan Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.
